FSSAI Registration is a legal license issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to all food-related businesses. Whether
you are a food stall, manufacturer, retailer, wholesaler, distributor, or restaurant – this registration is mandatory. It ensures that the food you manufacture, process, store, distribute, or sell is safe and meets quality standards.
There are three types of FSSAI licenses:
- Basic Registration – for businesses with annual turnover up to ₹12 lakhs.
- State License – for turnover between ₹12 lakhs to ₹20 crores.
- Central License – for turnover above ₹20 crores or businesses operating in more than one state.
Without FSSAI registration, running a food business is illegal, and penalties can be imposed.
