Objective of the Scheme:

The Government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a new scheme aimed at enhancing the skills of traditional artisans and craftsmen. The primary objective of this scheme is to provide a free 6-day training program to these artisans, helping them integrate modern technical knowledge into their traditional skills and thereby empower and make their businesses more self-reliant and sustainable.

Under this scheme, an advanced toolkit will also be provided to selected artisans after the completion of training. This toolkit will help them perform their work more efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The applicant must be at least 18 years old.

2. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

3. The applicant should be engaged in traditional craftsmanship, such as:

   • Carpenter

   • Tailor

   • Barber

   • Goldsmith

   • Blacksmith

   • Potter

   • Confectioner (Halwai)

   • Cobbler

   • And other similar trades
